ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Principal/ the Administrative Officer (DDO) is the unique authority in the polytechnic who has financial power for the procurement of different items i.e. equipment/material/furniture etc., required by the Govt. Polytechnic. The existing powers of delegation are according to Cir.Memo.No.K3/18272/2010-11,Dt.28-07-2012 of the Commissioner of Technical Education, AP, Hyderabad governed vide G.O.No.148 Finance & plg (FW.Admn.ITFR).Dept.Dt.21-10-2000.
  • To ensure proper utilization of funds.
  • To monitor Budget estimates relating to the receivables from various heads.
  • To ensure that accounts get audited every year.
  • To ensure that expenses incurred have budgetary provision.
  • To Check that necessary formalities have been observed in incurring expenses.
  • To ensure that expenses are incurred in the correct Head of account.
  • To monitor that revision and reallocation of available funds for various heads if required is done with proper permissions.
